U.S. News and World Report ranks 5 UHCL online degrees

Five online master's degree programs at University of Houston-Clear Lake were named in U.S. News World Report's 2022 Best College rankings. The magazine reports it assessed 1,728 online programs and ranked them across all disciplines according to overall academic quality.

UH-Clear Lake is ranked 141st in the Best Online MBA Programs category, 84th in the Best Online MBA Programs for Veterans category and 94th in the Best Online Master's in Business (non-MBA) Programs category. UHCL's College of Business offers online graduate degrees in finance, human resource management and business administration, while the undergraduate online programs include general business and finance.

The report also ranked UHCL in the Best Online Master's in the Software Engineering category as well as in the Best Online Master's in Education Programs category.

"We are always pleased to be compared favorably against peer institutions," said UHCL Interim Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost Christopher Maynard. "These rankings are an indication of the high quality of our programs and that our students are receiving a world-class education that will prepare them for future success."

U.S. News & World Report ranks programs from accredited degree-granting colleges or universities. The Best Online Programs rankings measure whether online degree programs have academic standards commensurate with quality brick-and-mortar programs that are properly adapted toward the unique pedagogy of distance education.
