Tia Brown McNair to speak about engaging, including underserved students

University of Houston-Clear Lake’s Division of Student Affairs welcomes Tia Brown McNair to share her insights on incorporating underserved student success, engagement and inclusion into the campus strategic planning process. Her presentation takes place in the Bayou Theater on Wednesday, Feb. 26, 9-11 a.m. A question-and-answer session will follow.

McNair is vice president of Diversity, Equity and Student Success and executive director of Truth, Racial Healing and Transformation Campus Centers for the Association of American Colleges and Universities in Washington, D.C. She oversees both funded projects and the AACU’s continuing programs on equity, inclusive excellence, high-impact educational practices and student success. She’s the lead author of the books “From Equity Talk to Equity Walk: Expanding Practitioner Knowledge for Racial Justice in Higher Education,” and “Becoming a Student-Ready College: A New Culture of Leadership for Student Success.”

Admission to the presentation is free and open to the public.
