Bayou Theater unveils 2024-25 season lineup
University of Houston- Clear Lake’s (UHCL) Bayou Theater is excited to announce its 2024-2025 season. An incredible lineup of movie parties and various performances will be featured this year.
The season kicks off on September 5, 2024, with I Will Always Love You: Katie Deal Sings Dolly Parton. Other highlights include:
· Houston-based Norteño ensemble, EZ Band, on Friday, October 11, 2024
· Mercury Chamber Orchestra: Classical Piano Trios on Friday, October 25, 2024
· Movie Party: Hocus Pocus! On Tuesday, October 29, 2024
· A co-production of Beauty and the Beast with Bay Area Houston Ballet & Theatre
· The Rocket Science of Neighbors, a show examining the relationship of space and the proximity to Johnson Space Center, UHCL
· Musical performances by Broadway singer Alli Mauzey, and Motown on Broadway performer Chester Gregory.
Under the leadership of Stephen Davis, UH-Clear Lake’s new director of Theater and Cultural Arts, the 500-seat Bayou Theater hosts campus events, theatrical performances, musical concerts, community events, and more throughout the year.
“From the moment I began pulling this season together, my goal was to bring more variety,” said Davis. “This season has something for everyone. From chamber music to Norteño, to Broadway and beyond, there’s a show for everyone to experience exceptional arts in their backyard.”
