Chemistry prof receives Barrios Technology fellowship
Barrios Technology, a NASA contractor, has awarded University of Houston-Clear Lake's Professor of Chemistry Daniel Wang a $5000 scholarship to help fund a new area of his research.
"I'll be using the funds primarily to purchase the chemicals I'll need for my research, in which I will collect essential data to support my hypothesis and my vision for the creation of a new type of molecular scaffolds to medicinal chemistry and host-guest chemistry," Wang said. "It is an honor for me to receive these funds for the faculty, and I hope to do this research while supervising students, as I've done in the past."
